My Story
At 28, I’m rebuilding from the ground up.
Rugby was my identity until the injuries started. A ruptured knee. Cartilage damage. Three invasive surgeries in three years. Multiple concussions I initially dismissed as “part of the game.” By 22, I was facing chronic pain and cognitive decline.
I work in finance – six years between PwC and Gen II Fund, still grinding in the industry today. But the reality is I’m managing a demanding career while dealing with joint pain, brain fog, and the psychological toll of losing the sport that defined me. The depression and anxiety that followed weren’t in any rehabilitation protocol.
I had a choice: accept decline or become my own experiment.
Over the past six years, I’ve tested everything. Intermittent fasting. Dirty bulking phases that taught me what NOT to do. Supplementation protocols for joint recovery, cognitive function, mood regulation, and inflammation management. What I’ve learned is that listening to your body matters more than hard metrics. Joint pain levels, recovery quality, mental clarity, how you actually feel – that’s the data that counts.
Am I where I want to be? Not yet. But I’m miles ahead of where I was, and I’m improving month over month.
